Work with us

Join the STEAMWORKS team

STEAMWORKS needs people with a passion for science and teaching to join us as activity officers! We want to hear from enthusiastic, dynamic, reliable and energetic individuals to help us at our workshop programmes for school children across South Yorkshire and Derbyshire. In the role you’ll lead a classroom full of kids through fun science and technology activities, getting them excited and inspired by STEM from an early age.

Who we're looking for

Becoming an Activity Officer is the perfect opportunity to gain experience in teaching, or to complement your existing teaching career. So, if you think you have what it takes to engage groups of children in science, technology, engineering, art, maths and making, sign up today!

Anyone with prior experience working with primary school-aged children or a passion for science communication can join our team. While past experience is desirable, it’s by no means essential. We’ll give you all the training you need to assist at our workshops, and provide the opportunity for you to lead sessions when you’re ready.
