Tutor profile

Rosey Andrassy

MA, DipEd, NPQH, BEd (Hons)

I retired as a primary teacher after 25 years to pursue a career in teacher training and explore further opportunities within the Education sector. My subject specialism is Mathematics, and I became a Specialist Leader in Education for Mathematics and Coaching in 2016.

During the last 7 years, I have tutored KS1, KS2, KS3 and KS4 Mathematics in person and online and for the last 5 years, I have been responsible for developing and teaching the content for the trainee teachers’ Mathematics programme and more recently, became a specialist KS2 Mathematics SATs marker.

Tuition offered: Mathematics (KS1, KS2, KS3 & KS4)

We were fortunate to have Rosey for private tuition for many years. She was an invaluable support for my daughters, who enjoyed their weekly lesson. Rosey was consistently enthusiastic and always provided the highest level of maths tuition. We found her creative and consistent in her drive to grow maths ability for my children. She helped develop their understanding and interest, which led to excellent examination results.
— Michael, Rotherham (KS2-KS4, in-person, 2016-23)
Rosey has been tutoring both of my children for the past 4 years, and during that time, they have grown in confidence and ability. One of my children has dyscalculia, so finds numbers particularly difficult. Rosey’s kind and patient nature and ability to change her teaching style and explanations to suit all learners have meant my children have both been able to access the challenging secondary maths curriculum and enjoy the tutoring sessions too!
— Cal, Liverpool (KS3-KS4 Online, 2021-25)

Homeschooling STEM Lessons

Our wide range of exciting and engaging STEM activities provide children with experiential learning opportunities which support parents and homeschooling communities in meeting the requirements of the programmes of study within the Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 National Curriculum.

Our homeschooling STEM lessons for children aged 5 to 11 years old provide children with opportunities to get hands-on with science, technology, engineering and mathematics, whether this is with a small group or a larger cohort of children. During the lesson, the children learn to work scientifically; undertake practical challenges and investigations; and often make something they can take home. We also believe that it is essential to include design and creativity within science, technology, engineering and maths, encouraging children to be imaginative and develop problem-solving skills whilst enabling them to innovate and create amazing things!

Guaranteed to inspire learning and increase interest and enthusiasm in STEM, our STEM lessons are a perfect way to enrich your homeschooling programme, encouraging children to investigate, explore and discover how things work through active learning.

STEM + ART = STEAM

We believe that it is essential to include design and creativity with science, technology, engineering and maths, to allow children to innovate and create amazing things!

Think of the beautiful mathematical spirals in nature, or the fusion of creativity and precision in architecture. Engineering uses design and physics to create beautifully useful things.

Science, technology, engineering and maths are playing an important role in future careers, but we must fuse these with creative thought and critical thinking to help young people flourish so they can play a part in making the future.

Inspiring and empowering future inventors, engineers, scientists, and makers.
